We provide a series of women-orientated service, including Counselling & Legal Support, Training & Employment Support, Gender Education, Caring the Carers, Cherish Food, Childcare & After-school Care, various Social Participation and Volunteer Development to promote gender equality in Hong Kong. We hope to enable women to develop their Confidence, Independence and Competence.

30th Anniversary Charity Dinner

We organised a dinner to both celebrate the 30th anniversary of our founding and raise funds to support the expansion of services to our newly-established Tai Wo Centre. The dinner was held on 23 September 2011 at the Happy Valley
Clubhouse. The HKFWC was honoured to welcome as our special guests Civic Exchange CEO (presently Undersecretary for the Environment) Ms Christine Loh Kung-wai, President of Asia Financial Group and Asia Insurance Co Ltd Mr Bernard Charnwut Chan, and renown entertainer Ms Maria Cordero. During the dinner, we viewed videos showcasing the transformations women experienced in their lives when receiving our services and participating in our activity, stressing the message of self-reliance. Our three honoured guests also shared their experiences and expertise with those who came out to support us. We also organised a lucky draw during the dinner, with our three guests randomly choosing 30 fortunate winners. As a finale, Ms Maria Cordero gave us a performance that was the climax of the night, drawing the audience into a dance that brought our excitement to its zenith. The success of our dinner owes much to the support of our generous donors and sponsors. In total, we raised HK$ 475,034.3.
