Kombucha is a fermented tea beverage inoculated with a symbiotic colony of bacteria and yeast (or SCOBY), which feeds off the sugar and tannins found in most teas. This kind of tea consists of probiotics, whose acidity limits the growth of harmful bacteria and is beneficial to health. A Japanese professor has suggested that Kombucha has 28 different effects. It’s especially effective in treating chronic ailments such as atrophic gastritis, gastric ulcer, lowering blood pressure, improving sleep quality, treating dysfunction during menopause, preventing diseases, and promoting longevity.
