This year marks the 45th anniversary of Hong Kong Federation of Women’s Centres. Over the past 45 years, we have served more than 20,000 members and mobilized 3,000 volunteers annually to support over 200,000 service visits for women, carers, and families. But more importantly, throughout these 45 years, we have been committed to helping women see the space for choice, standing alongside them as they explore more possibilities.
Helping women trapped in domestic violence situations find a way out;
Supporting carers overwhelmed by long-term caring responsibilities;
Enabling grassroots women to reconnect with work and income;
Bringing gender inequality into public awareness and discussion within society.
From a women’s helpline to legal support, carer services, economic empowerment, holistic health, and gender equality education and policy advocacy, our work has never been just about “responding to needs.” Step by step, from a women-oriented perspective, we strive to expand the possibilities for women to have more choices.
As we enter our 45th anniversary, we not only reflect on the past but also actively respond to the challenges women face today. We will launch a series of anniversary events and new initiatives to further connect the community, advance advocacy, and continue expanding the space for women’s choices.
45 years, empowering women's choices to create possibilities
Her Choice. Beyond Possibilities.
