Today, we were pleased to take part in the 2024/25 Caring Company Scheme 商界展關懷計劃 Recognition Ceremony cum Release of the Caring Business Achievements Overview, organised by Hong Kong Council of Social Service The Hong Kong Council of Social Service (HKCSS) 香港社會服務聯會 (社聯)
At the Working Caregiver Support Services Showcase Area, we shared our service experience and practical insights in supporting working caregivers, with a special focus on the Carer Café.
This space is not just about rest, it is also about meaning and connection.
It is more than a cup of coffee.
Working caregivers need and deserve space to breathe, moments of care, and the right to practise self-care.
In a work culture driven by efficiency and productivity, caregivers are often expected to “hold it together.” We believe truly sustainable care begins with making caregivers visible, supported, and permitted to slow down, both emotionally and socially.
One of the highlights was a collection of handcrafted crochet pieces specially made by our women tutors, including a symbolic “big tangerine”, carrying the blessing of good fortune, positivity, and wishes coming true.
Our sincere thanks to HKCSS for creating a cross-sector platform, and to all corporate partners and allies who care about the wellbeing of caregivers.
Caregiving is not an individual issue, it is a shared social responsibility.
We provide a series of women-orientated service, including Counselling & Legal Support, Training & Employment Support, Gender Education, Caring the Carers, Cherish Food, Childcare & After-school Care, various Social Participation and Volunteer Development to promote gender equality in Hong Kong. We hope to enable women to develop their Confidence, Independence and Competence.
