Our agency was invited by the Hong Kong Council of Social Service to attend and share insights and effectiveness of the "Co-creating Women Workplaces" project through our Education Officers. Simultaneously, several NGOs also shared their experiences and services in the employment sector. They not only provide job referral services but also include career planning and workplace counseling. The seminar also featured the release of a study on youth employment, exploring the relationships between young people's income, education levels, and parental education. One of the guest speakers, Professor Au Yeung Tat-chor, shared insights on the role of social workers in employment services and future directions.
Participants discovered that although all programs were employment-related, they focused more on the needs of participants and career planning. Even after participants entered the workforce, appropriate support was provided in areas such as interpersonal skills and personal emotional management. We will continue to strive to assist women in finding suitable directions for themselves, providing support to enable women to have choices and autonomy in their lives!
