We're grateful to Golden Scene for inviting our colleague to be among the first to watch Chen Siu-kuen's latest film, 'Montages of a Modern Motherhood'!
Director Siu-kuen dedicated this film to all women who have chosen to become mothers and those who have not. Her personal experiences as a mother have given her a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by mothers, and she hopes that the film will foster greater empathy and less judgment.
The pressures that mothers face can come from various sources, including partners, family, other mothers' experiences, medical advice, and societal expectations. We are committed to providing services, education, and advocacy to transform these pressures from obstacles into support systems so that mothers don't have to bear the burden alone.
The efforts of every mother and their support networks deserve recognition. We thank the filmmakers for bringing to light the realities of motherhood.
