Bringing women’s and gender perspectives into our daily services and work
HKFWC invited Dr. Doris Fok to deliver a sharing session on Gender Impact Assessment for our colleagues!
During the session, participants not only learned about gender analysis frameworks, but were also introduced to the theory of social reproduction and the phenomenon of time poverty. These tools helped colleagues gain a more nuanced understanding of how gender influences everyday life and work.
The 25 participating colleagues also engaged in mutual reflection throughout the process: How does gender equality gradually take shape in our daily work? And how can we truly internalise women’s and gender perspectives in our services, so that every step we take better responds to women’s needs?
Our heartfelt thanks to Doris for her dedicated sharing, and to all colleagues for their enthusiasm and sincere exchange. This was not just a learning opportunity, but also a meaningful connection—reminding us that gender equality requires continuous practice and companionship.
We provide a series of women-orientated service, including Counselling & Legal Support, Training & Employment Support, Gender Education, Caring the Carers, Cherish Food, Childcare & After-school Care, various Social Participation and Volunteer Development to promote gender equality in Hong Kong. We hope to enable women to develop their Confidence, Independence and Competence.
