Labour Department has approved Hong Kong Federation of Women's Centres Limited to resume the "Mandatory Basic Safety Training Course (Construction Work)" (commonly known as the "Green Card Course") with effect from 8 April 2026. The approval was granted following the Labour Department's careful review of the improvement measures and mechanisms we submitted, as well as a site inspection. It confirmed that appropriate follow-up actions had been taken and recognised that the measures would help reduce the risk of human error in the future.

On 8 October 2025, the Labour Department had suspended our accreditation to conduct the above course for a period of six months. During this time, we conducted a comprehensive review of the relevant arrangements and implemented a series of improvement measures, including enhancing management systems, establishing a dedicated task force to continuously monitor course operations, and providing training for relevant staff to strengthen execution standards and compliance awareness.

We are currently planning to relaunch the course, and further details regarding arrangements and enrolment will be announced in due course.
